War is never easy, especially if you’re in Iraq. This soldier, a war veteran, Sergeant Allen Hill, really had it bad there. When he returned back home, doctors stated that they have never seen such a serious PTS Disorder.
Frightening noise such as really loud alarms, car with their horns and special cars with sirens would put Sergeant Hill right back to Iraq, onto the battlefield.
He decided to do something. He found help with the “Puppies Behind Bars” organization. This organization provides help on both sides.
Namely, the dogs in this organizations are being trained by prisoners and the dogs are called ‘service dogs’. And they train them exactly for this purpose: to help people like Hill to return to normal life.
It would be a real minimization if we would say that Frankie is just a good friend of Hills. His service is really incredible. Frankie can sense when the PTS attack is going t happen and he helps Allen Hill to quickly come back to reality.
After just some time after Frankie is a real best friend and the Sergeant himself says that he wouldn’t make it without Frankie.
Before getting a service dog Sergeant Hill was scared to even leave the house and he just wanted to be alone.
Now, with Frankie’s help, Allen is right back on track – he’s a great father to his family that moved to the new house.
And Frankie, the new family member, is the family’s favourite.
